ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Ihionvien joined Peterborough from Colchester United in the summer on a free transfer but has been limited to four substitute appearances in the league. Now, he has been ruled out until the new year due to a freak injury that has seen him "grow another bone" in his leg.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 20-year-old is still relatively new to competitive football, having made just 44 first-team appearances throughout his career. In that time, he has scored six goals, five of which came for Colchester and one of which came for Posh. Given Darren Ferguson's description of the issue, Ihionvien may not be able to walk after his diagnosis.

WHAT DARREN FERGUSON SAID
Manager Ferguson confirmed: "Brad has had a scan and it's not good, he's got a freak injury in his leg. They've found another bone has grown, so it's a bit of a strange one.
"He's probably going to have to stay off his feet for a couple of months."

WHAT NEXT?
Posh are currently 12th in League One, and face Reading this weekend. Their striker's curious injury will rule him out for the foreseeable future, unfortunately.
